Caring for Your Jewellery

Our pieces are made with 18kt PVD gold over high grade stainless steel. This creates durable, water friendly pieces that are water resistant (yes, shower safe!), hypoallergenic and made for everyday wear.

The gold plating is fused to stainless steel using a premium PVD (physical vapour deposition) process, making it much more long wearing than traditional gold plating.

That said, it does benefit from a little care and love.

Everyday Care Tips

To keep your pieces sparkling:

  • Store them in a dry place (a soft pouch or box is perfect) when you're not wearing them.
  • Wipe gently with a soft cloth after wearing.
  • Avoid directly spraying with perfumes or contact with harsh cleaning products.
  • Rinse with fresh water after swimming.
  • Take them off before applying lotions, doing vigorous cleaning or activities where your jewellery might get caught/scratched.

Our jewellery is resilient, but it is not invincible! As with any jewellery, please treat it with care.

A Note on Ageing Gracefully

Gold is a soft natural mineral, and with time even the strongest materials will evolve, just like the stories they hold. Light fading or wear is normal with age and contact, especially for well loved everyday pieces.

Freshwater Pearls & Natural Stones

Freshwater pearls and natural stones are naturally occurring materials and as such, require a little extra care to maintain their appearance over time.

To help preserve their beauty, we recommend:

  • Avoiding prolonged exposure to water, perfumes, lotions and cleaning products.
  • Removing jewellery before showering, swimming or exercising.
  • Storing pieces separately in a soft pouch to prevent scratching or abrasion.

Due to their natural composition, pearls and stones vary slightly in shape, colour and texture. These variations are a natural part of their character and make each piece unique.

With gentle care and mindful wear, freshwater pearls and natural stones can be enjoyed for many years.
